Communities Support for BIPOC Refugees from Ukraine (CUSBU) is a migrant-led initiative formed by a coalition of organizations and volunteers to support Black people, Indigenous people, and People of Color (BIPOC) fleeing to Berlin. Our initiative focuses on providing comprehensive support, advocacy, and safe spaces to address the unique challenges faced by BIPOC refugees, working alongside local and international partners to combat structural racism and discrimination.

The Youth Employment Agency (JBA) is available in every district and supports people aged 15 to 25. While general information is often offered in multiple languages, consultations are held in German. Each JBA also works with independent providers (§16a SGB II) who offer counseling and coaching—a helpful first step for young people to clarify their needs and be referred to the right services within the JBA. Multiple consultations are possible, for example, for career orientation or job application support.
