(ENDED 12/2023)
FEMUNITIES is an empowerment project for BIPOC (Black People, Indigenous People and People of Color) Women* displaced by the war in Ukraine. We focus on activities that facilitate bonding and creating a community amongst ourselves.
We help the Women* and girls to understand their rights and steps they can take to secure their well-being at home, at work, and in social situations.
It is a safe space for Women* established on equality, freedom of expression, and empowerment.
COME, LET US TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES AFFECTING US AS BIPOC WOMEN* FROM UKRAINE. STOP THE SPREAD OF FALSE INFORMATION. BE AWARE OF LAWS, ORGANISATIONS AND COMMUNITIES THAT BENEFIT YOU.
LET US COME TOGETHER, EMPOWER OURSELVES, SHARE AND BUILD A COMMUNITY.
Some of our activities include age-appropriate support group sessions, psychosocial support, book reading, games, hang-out sessions, cooking, socializing and rebuilding social networks, acquiring contextually relevant skills and access to safe and non-stigmatizing multi-sectorial GBV services (psychological, legal & medical).
We are excited and happy to have you with us at Voltastrasse 33, 13355 Berlin!
Opening hours: 12 pm- 5pm, Saturdays
*BIPOC female, lesbian, intersex, Trans and agender people welcome
