WOMEN* & YOUTH (W*AY)

CUSBU - Women* and Youth (W*AY) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at providing vital support and empowerment to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPoC) refugees from Ukraine, with a focus on women* and youth aged 18-22.
W*AY seeks to address the unique challenges faced by BIPoC refugees from Ukraine, with an emphasis on fostering community integration, offering psychosocial support, and promoting advocacy for their rights.Â
W*AY activities encompass a range of essential services and initiatives, including:
- Empowerment workshops,
- Women* and youth focused case management,
- Support with documentation Ukrainian children of non-Ukrainian third-country nationals, and
- Engaging in public outreach and advocacy efforts.
This project aims to make a significant impact on the lives of BIPoC refugees from Ukraine by providing them with essential support, fostering community integration, and advocating for their rights within the Berlin community. Through a collaborative effort with stakeholders and participants, CUSBU strives to create a welcoming and empowering environment for BIPoC refugees from Ukraine.
The project runs from May - December 2023.

MENTAL HEALTH & PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT
As part of the Women* and Youth (W*AY) project, CUSBU is offering individual psycho-social support session for FLINTA* (Female Lesbian Intersex Trans* and A-gender) individuals and Youth (Age 18-22).
What we offer:
Individual counseling
Each session is 50 minutes
Up to three sessions per person
Support in problem situations or in decision making difficulties
Assistance in coping with stressful life situations
Aim: to develop new perspectives and solutions together through resource oriented counseling
